Be the Match Drive
Our beloved member Russ Barnes has a blood disease requiring a bone marrow transplant. 70% of transplant patients do not have a compatible donor in their family, so they depend on unrelated blood stem cell donations for this life saving procedure. To honor Russ and hopefully find a match, we are holding a Be The Match bone marrow donor registration drive Tuesday, February 28, through Thursday, March 2. The 5-minute process involves screening questions and a simple cheek swab. If you are age 18-40 and willing to commit to helping save a life in this way, please visit our swab collection table in The Commons 8:30 AM–9:00 AM, 11:30 AM-12:30 PM, or 3:00 PM–6:00 PM and Wednesday Night Supper on Wednesday, March 1 . If you are over 40, please invite friends and family members to register.
